How It Works

  1. Sea water or other liquid feed source is pumped into a chamber in the base of the evaporator.
  2. The chamber is under a vacuum and the liquid submerges a heat exchanger.
  3. Low temperature boiling occurs and the steam vapor rises.
  4. The vapor contacts a cold condenser tube bundle and the vapor condenses back to a liquid.
  5. The distillate is collected in a trough and pumped to a clean water holding tank.
